Masters World Cup Success 2026

The Masters squads have completed an outstanding World Cup campaign in Belgium and the Netherlands, returning home with a magnificent haul of 7 Gold, 5 Silver and 5 Bronze medals across 18 of the 19 age-group competitions entered.

The gold medals were secured by the W035, W065, W070, M035, M050, M065 and M070 squads, underlining the strength and depth of Masters hockey across both the women’s and men’s programmes. Of particular significance was the achievement of the Women’s Over-70s squad, who claimed gold in the inaugural W070 competition. As the first-ever World Cup competition at this age group, their success represents a significant milestone for Masters hockey and provides a fitting recognition of the continued growth and development of the game at older age groups.

The success continued in the IMC World Cup, which provides a further opportunity for B squads and teams featuring a mixture of players from countries around the world to compete at international level. England entered nine competitions and produced an exceptional record, returning with 7 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze. This outstanding medal return further demonstrates the strength and depth of the England Masters programme beyond the main World Cup competitions.
